What We Know

There are many different types of disabilities, but all affect an individual’s capacity of functionality. There are around 61 million, or 1 in 4, adults in the United States that have a disability of some sort [1].

How It Affects Our World

A person’s disability can affect his or her vision, hearing, cognition, mobility, or independent living routines. Recent studies have shown those with a disability are at higher risk of having obesity, heart disease, or diabetes [1].

What We Can Do About It

At Finding The Light Project we will always highly recommend professional medical and mental health providers as the foundation of treatment. Beyond that, we are here to provide you with knowledge, theological reasoning and encouragement. We invite you to subscribe and explore how you can find light in the darkness. It’s time to find hope and happiness once again!
